Founder and Community Organizer of Somos Semillas Antillanas
Darshan Elena Campos, PhD (they/elle/twospirit) is a transfeminist Boricua seedkeeper. Born in the diaspora on ancestral Ohlone territory, they returned to Borikén in 2018 to help grow food, housing options, and brave beloved communities for survivors of violence. Currently, they lead Somos Semillas Antillanas, a mobile seed library specializing in seeds of the Indigenous Black Caribbean in Barrio Pueblo, Cabo Rojo. At OtraCosa, an offgrid DIY queer homestead in the mountains of San Salvador, Caguas, they help care for Xicana Freedom Forest, a living archive of trees aimed at helping to create a future without femicide and forced migration.
