Sumedha Yarlagadda

Sumedha is a senior at Sun Prairie West High School in Wisconsin. She founded and currently leads the Citizens’ Climate Lobby’s Wisconsin Youth Action Team, which has done projects in art, climate education, and lobbying. She serves as a student representative on the City of Sun Prairie’s Sustainability Committee, where she represents the voices of youth and promotes community-wide equity initiatives. She also works with NRISeva, an India-based nonprofit, to provide medical care and educational materials on climate. She is deeply committed to advocating for environmental justice and is interested in the intersection of climate and race, public health, gender, international affairs, and policy.
